Good Life Experience Summer Camp 2026

The Good Life Experience Summer Camp returns to Hawarden Estate in Flintshire from 17 to 20 July 2026 — four days of creativity, community and good living set in the grounds of one of North Wales’s finest country estates. Founded by Charlie and Caroline Gladstone, the festival has built a devoted following for its combination of practical skills, inspiring talks, live music and a thoroughly convivial atmosphere.

Summer Camp is unlike most festivals. You won’t find headline acts and corporate sponsors here — instead, expect a programme of workshops covering everything from traditional crafts and foraging to cookery, growing, and storytelling. The ethos is hands-on: you’ll leave with new skills and new friends rather than just memories of stages and queues.

Hawarden Estate itself is a beautiful backdrop — a private working estate with sweeping parkland, just a short drive from Chester and within easy reach of North Wales. The festival has a genuinely warm, small-scale feel that sets it apart from the main festival circuit.

Camping is available on-site for the full four days. For those preferring a bed, the nearby towns of Mold and Chester have a good range of hotels and B&Bs, and the north-eastern corner of Wales is well worth exploring beyond the festival itself — the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley are both within easy reach.
