Walking country west of Wrexham

Brymbo has a fascinating industrial past — it grew up around a great ironworks and steelworks, and the Brymbo Heritage project now tells that story — but today the village sits on the edge of some genuinely lovely countryside. Within a short drive you can follow the Clywedog Valley trail through woodland at Nant Mill and Plas Power, explore the Minera lead mines and limeworks, or head up to the dramatic limestone scenery of World’s End above Llangollen.
