Holyhead is a real find on the tip of Holy Island. My top tip is to visit the South Stack lighthouse. You can walk down the stone steps to the sea. It is a great way to have a low cost day out in the fresh air. The town has a deep past. St Cybi’s Church sits in the walls of an old fort. You can walk the long sea wall to see the big boats. It is the longest in the UK and free to visit. The air is fresh and the views from the high hill are world class. Life here moves with the tide and the ships. It is a true gem with a grand sea view.
