Family-friendly farm cottages near Cardigan
This is a holiday park with real character. Set around a peaceful working farm, the cottages range in size to suit couples, families and larger groups, with up to around 31 guests in total when the units are booked together. Where it is
The farm sits at Moylegrove, a little over two miles from the historic town of Cardigan, with its castle and the Teifi estuary, and right on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is a peaceful, rural setting yet within easy reach of the coast and the town. You can browse more places to stay across the area on our Ceredigion accommodation page.
Things to do nearby
This is one of the best stretches of coast in Wales for beaches and wildlife. The golden sands of Poppit Sands are under three miles away, with the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at St Dogmaels nearby. Cardigan itself, with its restored castle and lively independent shops, is a short drive, and boat trips out into Cardigan Bay offer a real chance of spotting dolphins, seals and porpoises. The little beach at Mwnt and the Welsh Wildlife Centre at the Teifi Marshes are also close by for memorable days out.
Who it suits
With its pool, hot tubs and brilliant on-site activities, Trenewydd is made for families and groups who want plenty to do close to home, as well as couples after a relaxed cottage with a hot tub. Dog owners are welcome too, and the quiet farm setting makes it a safe, easygoing place for children to play.
Good to know
The outdoor pool is seasonal, open through the warmer months, so it is worth checking dates if a swim is high on your list. With cottages of different sizes, the site works equally well for a couples’ getaway or a big family reunion booked across several units. Booking ahead is recommended for the school holidays, when the family facilities make Trenewydd especially popular.
