The Haybarn is a charming, 4-star stone barn conversion in the peaceful village of Devauden, near Chepstow, on the edge of the Wye Valley. Sleeping up to six across three en-suite bedrooms, dog-friendly and full of rustic character, it makes a wonderful base for exploring this beautiful corner of Wales. Best of all, the upside-down layout puts the living space upstairs to make the most of the fabulous, far-reaching views over the Vale of Usk and the hills beyond.

Characterful, Comfortable Living

Full of charm, the barn has exposed stone walls and beams throughout. Upstairs, a light and spacious open-plan living and dining area has comfortable leather sofas and recliners, a dining table seating everyone, and French doors framing the valley views. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, and there is a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

Three En-Suite Bedrooms

All three bedrooms are on the ground floor and have their own en-suite facilities — two with double beds and one with twin beds — plus there is a family bathroom with a bath. Finished with painted stone walls and characterful beams, the rooms are comfortable and full of cottage charm, making the layout easy for families and groups.

Garden, Views and Setting

Outside, an enclosed courtyard garden has a patio with a sitting-out area, garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for soaking up those glorious views over the Vale of Usk. There is private parking for two cars, and the barn is no-smoking throughout. Up to three dogs stay free, with doggy extras provided, so the whole family is welcome. Please note there is an unfenced pond around 50 yards from the property, so families with young children should take care.

The market town of Monmouth and the city of Newport are both within easy reach.
