Relaxed, Comfortable Living

Inside, there is a spacious and welcoming living room with comfortable leather sofas, a feature fireplace and French doors to the garden, plus a separate dining room with a large table and dresser — ideal for relaxed family meals. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. Oil central heating, bed linen and towels are all included. With no Wi-Fi at the property, it is a great spot for a proper get-away-from-it-all break.

Three Comfortable Bedrooms

The three bedrooms sleep up to six, with a double room, a twin room and a room with bunk beds that children will love — making the layout well suited to families. There is a family bathroom, and the rooms are bright and homely, some tucked characterfully into the eaves.

The Stables is beautifully placed for the Wye Valley and the Welsh Marches. The historic town of Chepstow, with its magnificent castle and the start of the Offa’s Dyke Path, is a short drive away, as are the romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey and the wooded gorge of the Lower Wye. The market town of Monmouth is also within easy reach.

There is plenty more to discover. The Forest of Dean offers family days out, the foodie town of Abergavenny and the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) lie to the west, and the cities of Bristol and Newport are an easy drive for a day out.
