Ship Inn Tresaith: a sea view pub with rooms by the beach
The Ship Inn is a pub with rooms in Tresaith, a village on the Ceredigion coast about 1.4 miles from Aberporth. It stands right by the beach, and its sign says “Sea view pub and rooms”. Booking.com says the inn is on the Ceredigion Coastal Path, and that all rooms have views of the beach. Our Aberporth guide covers the beaches nearby.
The rooms
Booking.com lists a Double Room of 323 square feet with a sea view, an en-suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV and a coffee machine. The photos show clean, plain rooms with white bedding, a navy feature wall above the bed, a wooden headboard and a clothes rail. The shower rooms have a glass cubicle and a white basin.
The balcony photos look out over the beach and the headland, with the sea beyond. Towels and sheets may cost extra, and an extra bed costs £20 a night.
The pub, the terrace and breakfast
Ship Inn Tresaith has a bar with real ales and good-value wines, Italian coffee, juices and smoothies, and an interesting menu. The inn says its heated terrace is a place to look out to sea and try to spot dolphins. The photos show a timbered bar with a blue-panelled counter and a dining table by the window. A full cooked breakfast is served, and guests score it as exceptional. On the cheaper rates it costs £11.25 extra.
