Freshwater East is a real find on the Pembrokeshire coast. My top tip is the beach. It is a wide arc of pale sand with high dunes. You can walk the coast path to find hidden coves. The water here is very clear and blue. It is a prime spot for a low cost walk in the fresh air. You can see the green cliffs meet the sea. The village sits on a steep hill above the bay. There are no busy shops here. It is all about the wild waves and the salt spray. The air is fresh and the views are grand. It is a true gem for a quiet break. Life is slow and very calm.
