Church Bay sits on the rocky coast of Anglesey. Its Welsh name is Porth Swtan. This refers to the white fish found in the blue sea. You can walk down a path to a beach of sand and pebbles. High cliffs and rock pools line the shore. The village has a tiny cottage with a grass roof from long ago. This old house is a museum today. You can see the tall spire of St Rhuddlad's Church from the sand. The cliff path gives grand views of Holyhead Mountain. Life here is slow and quiet. It is a fine place to watch the sun go down. The air is fresh and the birds sing in the sky.
