Burry Port is a bright coastal town in South Wales. It sits on the edge of the Loughor estuary. The town is famous for a grand event in 1928. Amelia Earhart landed her plane in the harbour here. She was the first woman to fly across the wide sea. You can see a monument for her in the town. The harbour now has a busy marina with many small boats. A tall stone lighthouse stands on the sea wall. You can walk along the Millennium Coastal Path for great views. The sand dunes of Pembrey are very close. The air is fresh and the sky is wide. It is a fine place for a quiet walk.
