Characterful, Comfortable Living

Full of period charm, the coach house has exposed stone walls, oak beams and slate floors, blended with elegant, comfortable furnishings. The sitting room has deep leather sofas and a woodburner for chilly evenings, with views over the Sugar Loaf, and opens through to a welcoming kitchen and dining area beneath a vaulted ceiling, with large windows framing the Usk Valley. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric range, induction hob, breakfast bar, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Oil central heating (underfloor downstairs), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, with fuel for the woodburner.

Three Beautiful Bedrooms

The three character bedrooms are full of charm, with exposed beams and lovely garden or hill views. Two have king-size beds and their own en-suite shower rooms, while the third has a super-king bed that can be split into twins on request and shares a further ground-floor shower room. All beds have high-quality linens, and the rooms are elegantly and individually decorated.

Private Pool and Garden

The standout feature is the enclosed private garden with its own heated outdoor swimming pool (12m, open May to September), surrounded by a sandstone terrace with outdoor seating and dining — a wonderful spot for al fresco meals and lazy afternoons with the countryside as your backdrop. There is a charcoal barbecue, a bike store and private parking for three cars. The property is no-smoking, does not accept pets, and the owners do not take hen, stag or large celebration parties.

Gilwern, with its local pubs and shops, is about half a mile away, while the lovely town of Crickhowell, often called ‘the jewel in the Beacons’, is around two and a half miles.
