Getting to the beach and beyond

Borth beach is a walk down the hill — three miles of sand and pebble running north from the village, with the Cambrian Coast railway alongside it. Clarach Bay is 4.3 miles away and Aberystwyth 6 miles.

At very low tide the stumps of a drowned forest, thousands of years old, show through the sand at Borth. It is worth timing a walk around.
