Room for eight, and the sea in front of you
This is a big caravan on Brynowen Lane at Borth, and it takes eight people without anyone drawing the short straw. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room with space to sit together at the end of the day. The sea is in front of it and the beach is below.
Inside
The kitchen is fully fitted and there is a dining area big enough for the whole party to eat at once. Two bathrooms is the detail that matters with eight people in a caravan — nobody queues in the morning. It has its own private entrance and free WiFi.
What is on the park
There is a bar, a children’s playground and entertainment staff putting on evening shows through the season. Guests give the caravan 8.5 out of 10 overall, and couples mark the location 9.4. For a van this size that is telling — people come for where it is as much as for the space.
Borth, and what to do from it
Borth is a long straight village on a bank of shingle with three miles of sand running north. The Cambrian Coast railway runs along the back of it, so you can leave the car and take the train up to Machynlleth or down to Aberystwyth.
Clarach Bay is 4.3 miles, Aberystwyth University 5.6 miles and Aberystwyth Golf Club 6.8 miles. At the lowest tides the remains of a prehistoric forest appear through the sand along the beach.
