The hut

This is glamping with proper comforts rather than roughing it. The hut has one bedroom with a full-size bed and a private bathroom of its own, plus a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook in or just rustle up breakfast at your own pace. A wood-burning stove keeps things warm and characterful on cooler evenings, and there are barbecue facilities for making the most of a fine day outdoors. The hut has its own private entrance and free on-site parking, so you have the place entirely to yourselves.

Ynys Hideout is set up as an adults’ retreat — children are not accommodated — which makes it ideal for couples after a romantic break or a quiet escape. The little summit of Mynydd Bodafon on the doorstep rewards a short climb with wide island views, and the historic castle town of Beaumaris is an easy drive for a day out. Further afield, the dunes and surf at Rhosneigr, the South Stack lighthouse near Holyhead and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) across the strait are all within reach when you fancy a change of scene.
