Red Kite Lodge is a beautiful detached single-storey lodge set in an elevated position on a working sheep and cattle farm at Stanner, near Kington, on the Mid Wales border. Part of the Acre Luxury Lodges, it sleeps up to six across three bedrooms, is dog-friendly and enjoys some of the most spectacular views in the area. The heart of the lodge is a spacious open-plan living space, with comfortable sofas, a woodburner and a dining area, all opening through patio doors onto the balcony and the views beyond. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer dryer. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with logs for the woodburner. There is private parking below the lodge, from which there is an uphill walk to the front door.

Three Comfortable Bedrooms

The three bedrooms comfortably sleep six, with a king-size room, a double room and a twin room, all on the ground floor. They are served by a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. The rooms are bright and tastefully finished, making this an easy, comfortable base for a family or two couples.

The standout feature is the setting. A private hot tub for six and a large balcony with a glass surround take full advantage of the spectacular views up the valley — the perfect place to relax with a drink in hand.
