The Kings Head

Located in the picturesque Herefordshire town of Ross-on-Wye, near the Welsh border. This small market town offers an ideal base to explore the beautiful Forest of Dean, the stunning landscape of the Cotswolds, the wonderful Welsh Borders or even the towering Brecon Beacons National Park.
The Kings Head Hotel, dates back to the 14th century and is situated in the most picturesque street in the centre of Ross-on-Wye. Until the advent of the railways in the 19th century, the Hotel was a small Coaching Inn. During Georgian times an extra storey was added and the facade changed to the current one.
The Kings Head has open fireplaces and a wealth of oak beams. A tunnel reputedly runs in the cellar past the 12th century well to the old Saracens Head Inn. Occasionally there have been reports of ghosts and the clatter of horses from time past. We aim to bring the warmth of welcome and hospitality of a bygone age with convenience of the 22nd Century
