You will find us nestled within the village of Tintern, in the heart of the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the Old Rectory is a period home with fantastic views. With magical Tintern Abbey a short walk away, the Tintern Old Rectory is a lovely place to enjoy spectacular landscapes with access to wonderful walks along Offa's Dyke Trail and Wye Valley Walk.
With comfortable beds, period decor and a warm welcome with lots of advice on things to see and do and tales of this historic village, you will be sure to enjoy your visit to The Old Rectory and Tintern.
Old Rectory rooms are all charmingly appointed, ensuite, with lovely misty river views and many special touches. Free Wifi, Satellite TV, Egyptian cotton bed linen, coffee/ tea facilities, down duvets and pillows (hypoallergenic also available on request), bathrobes and quality toiletries.
Rooms all have lovely views over the river and onto the hills beyond. Our Garden Suite has a window seat with a side view, the other rooms directly overlook the river.
Many guests mention how very comfortable the beds are, and how well they slept.
Special touches include summer flowers and beautifully scented roses from our overflowing rose-garden, fine china cups, many varieties of free trade teas, often with homemade cookies or welsh cakes.
The front river view rooms are entirely pet-free, and our two larger suites accept pets. The rooms are all meticulously cleaned between use for those with pet sensitivities.
We are sure that whichever room you choose you will have a very restful sleep.
