Builth Wells Famous for the Royal Welsh Show is just a few miles away. Hay On Wye is famous for its second-hand bookshops and an annual book festival. During August Brecon holds its world famous jazz festival attracting visitors and performers from all over the world. Take a journey on the Brecon Mountain railway one of the most popular railways in Wales or visit Brecon Cathedral built c 1093 1537 and see the regimental chapel of the royal regiment of Wales and the colours of Rorkes' Drift.
At Llangorse you can enjoy sailing and fishing on the lake, you can also hire water sports equipment at the lake hire shop. Riding, Trekking, Hacking and indoor climbing activities suitable for families children and the more experienced are also available.
