Llanrhidian sits on the north coast of the Gower. It looks out over the salt marsh and the Burry Estuary. My top tip is to visit the church of St Illtyd. You can see the old leper stone there for free. It is a prime choice for a low cost stop on your trip. You can walk the paths by the sea to see the wild marsh ponies. To the west sits the ruins of Weobley Castle. This fortified manor has deep roots in the land. Many paths here are dogs welcome trails. The air is fresh and the views of the water are clear. Some houses feature a hot tub for a soak. It is a smart spot for an authentic break.
