Llangammarch Wells is the smallest of the four spa towns in Mid Wales. It sits in the green valley where the River Irfon and River Dulas meet. My top tip is the barium well. It was once the only one in the land. People came from far away to drink the water for their health. You can walk the paths by the river for free. It is a prime choice for a low cost day in the fresh air. The village has a stop on the Heart of Wales train line. You can see the Epynt hills from the lanes. Red kites fly over the oak woods. It is a peaceful spot for a true inland break.
