Llanddewi Ystradenny is a small spot in the Radnor hills. My top tip is to visit the River Ithon. It is a prime choice for a low cost walk by the water. You can see the old stone church of St David. It has a very old door and a round yard. This village has deep roots in the past. You can see the high earth banks of Buddugre Castle. It is a motte from long ago. The paths here are quiet and free to use. For a great day out, head to the Radnor Forest. You can see the high falls of Water-Break-Its-Neck nearby. It is a true gem for a smart trip. Life is slow in this Welsh glen.
