Knighton sits on the line where Wales meets England. It is the only town on the path of Offa's Dyke. My top tip is the clock tower in the town centre. It is very tall and made of stone. You can visit the Offa's Dyke Centre for free. This is a prime spot for a low cost walk in the hills. The town has narrow streets and old shops. You can walk the Teme Valley for grand views of the land. It is a quiet place with deep roots in the sheep trade. Life here is slow and the pace is calm. This is a true gem for a break in the wild heart of Mid Wales.
