Kidwelly is a real find in West Wales. My top tip is the castle. It is one of the best in the land. The big stone walls sit high above the River Gwendraeth. You can walk the old bridge for free. It is a prime choice for a low cost day out in the fresh air. The town has a deep past from long ago. You can hear the tales of Princess Gwenllian who led a great fight here. Life moves with the slow river. This is a true gem for a smart trip to the coast.
