Edern is a real find on the wild Llŷn Peninsula. My top tip is to walk the short path to the high cliffs. You will see the blue sea of Porthdinllaen from the grassy ground. The village has a fine old church built of dark stone. It is a very quiet spot with deep local roots. You can hear the sound of the birds from the nearby shore. For a low cost day out, head to the wide sandy bays of Nefyn. The air is fresh and the hills are very green. This is a prime choice for a break off the beaten track. Life here is slow and the people are kind. It is a true gem.
