Dolgellau is a fine spot in the shadow of Cadair Idris. My top tip is to walk the narrow streets. You will see dark stone walls and grey slate roofs. These old granite buildings give the town a grand feel. The River Wnion flows past the green parks. You can hear the water rush over the rocks.
