Crickhowell is a real find in the Usk Valley. My top tip is the bridge. It has thirteen arches on one side but only twelve on the other. This stone span crosses the River Usk. Above the town sits a big hill. You can hike the trail for grand views. The high street is well known. It has no big chain shops. Every store is run by a local. It feels like a real place. Make time to see the old castle walls near the park. The air is fresh and the hills are very green. This is a prime spot for a low cost break in the hills.
