Llangollen and the Dee Valley

Llangollen sits on the River Dee inside the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape. The steam railway runs west up the valley from the town, the canal runs east on the flat, and four miles along it Telford carried the whole thing across the valley on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage Site a hundred and twenty-six feet above the river.
