A Luxury Seafront House at Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales
Waterside enjoys a wonderful position right on the seafront at Rhos-on-Sea, on the North Wales coast between Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. Just a stone’s throw from the shore — the sea is only around 100 yards away — this spacious detached house makes the most of its uninterrupted sea views, with a curved bay window in the sitting room that looks straight out across the water. Sleeping eight across four bedrooms, with a games room, a woodburner and an enclosed garden, it is an excellent choice for a big family holiday or a get-together with friends by the sea.
The House
Waterside is generously proportioned and comfortably furnished throughout. The sitting room is the heart of the house, with deep leather sofas, a Smart TV and a woodburning stove, and that lovely curved bay window with a built-in seat — the perfect place to sit with a coffee and watch the tide and the passing ships. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, an American-style fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a coffee machine, and opens through patio doors to the garden; there is a separate dining room seating eight, plus a handy utility room with a washing machine. Downstairs there is also a games room with a pool table and games console — a real hit with older children and teenagers on a rainy afternoon — and a separate cloakroom.
The Bedrooms
Upstairs are four bedrooms sleeping eight in total. Bedroom one is a double with its own en-suite shower; bedroom two has a kingsize bed; bedroom three has two single beds with a Jack-and-Jill en-suite shared with bedroom one; and bedroom four has bunk beds, ideal for younger members of the party. A family bathroom completes the accommodation, with both a bath and a walk-in shower. Some of the bedrooms share the sea view, so you can wake up to the sound of the waves.

Rhos-on-Sea and the Coast
Rhos-on-Sea is a friendly and easy-going seaside village with a long promenade, a sandy-and-shingle beach and a sheltered feel. Right on the front you will find the tiny St Trillo’s Chapel — said to be one of the smallest chapels in Britain — along with cafes, a few shops and the little harbour at Rhos Point. It is a lovely spot for a stroll, a paddle or an ice cream, and the promenade links along the bay towards Colwyn Bay, where Porth Eirias on the seafront and the Welsh Mountain Zoo are both worth a visit.
Exploring North Wales
Waterside makes a superb base for exploring this whole stretch of coast. Elegant Llandudno, the “Queen of Welsh Resorts”, is just along the bay, with its sweeping promenade, Victorian pier, the Great Orme and its tramway and cable car, and the shops and shows of the town. The medieval walled town of Conwy, with its magnificent UNESCO-listed castle, town walls and the smallest house in Great Britain, is only a short drive away, as is the beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant. Inland, the mountains, lakes and waterfalls of Eryri (Snowdonia) and the zip lines and adventures of Zip World are all within easy reach, and the beaches of the Isle of Anglesey lie just beyond Conwy.
