At the heart of the house is a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with a Smart TV, a breakfast island and doors opening to the garden. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, an American-style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is also a fantastic separate games/snug room with a Smart TV, a multi-games table and a woodburner, with doors leading directly out to the garden and hot tub area. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, with initial fuel for the woodburner and a welcome pack on arrival.

The five bedrooms all have Smart TVs and sleep up to ten. On the ground floor are three bedrooms — one with an en-suite shower — along with a family shower room. The market town of Ammanford is just down the valley for everyday shops and supplies.

There is plenty more to discover. Margam Country Park, the cycling trails of Afan Argoed and the beaches of the Gower Peninsula — Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — are all within reach, while Swansea, with its leisure centre, waterpark, marina and maritime museum, makes a great day out. The Welsh capital, Cardiff, is a little further on. The nearest beach is around 13 miles away.
