A Single-Storey Barn Conversion on the Gower near Swansea
Swallow Cottage is a charming, single-storey barn conversion on a peaceful farm at Gowerton, on the edge of the Gower Peninsula near Swansea. Sleeping up to four across two bedrooms and dog-friendly, with everything on one level, it makes a relaxing and easy base for a couple, a small family or two friends. With the village a short walk away and the beaches and coast path of Gower — Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — a short drive, it has the best of village life and the great outdoors on the doorstep.
Open-Plan, Easy Living
Arranged all on one level, the cottage has a spacious, L-shaped open-plan living, dining and kitchen space — perfect for family time, whether enjoying a meal together or settling down for a film on the 50-inch Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with a breakfast bar, an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher. Off the living space is a lovely conservatory, a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the views over the garden and open countryside. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included.
Two Bedrooms
There are two comfortable bedrooms — a double and a twin — both bright and freshly decorated, sleeping up to four. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over. As a single-storey cottage, it is easy to get around throughout.
Garden and Setting
Swallow Cottage was converted from the old milking barn of the 17th-century Cefn Gorwydd Fawr Farm, and sits with its partner, Meadow Cottage, in around three-quarters of an acre of lawned garden surrounded by mature trees. There is private parking for two cars, and the cottage is no-smoking throughout. Dogs are welcome, so the whole family can come along.
