A terrace looking out to sea

Sunset Bay is a caravan on Wide Horizons, the small park on Cardigan Road at the edge of Aberaeron. What sets this one apart is what is outside it: a garden and a terrace facing the sea, which is where you end up sitting on a long evening.

Inside

One bedroom, one bathroom and a living room, sleeping six in all with the sofa bed. There is a dining area, a kitchen with a fridge, a kettle and the kitchenware you need, a shower and a TV. Free private parking sits beside the caravan. Guests rate it 8.7 out of 10.

The park

Wide Horizons is a small park of 8.5 acres just outside the town, so it is quiet, and the coast path runs directly off it. The Sea Breeze Inn does hot and cold food and a full pub menu, with live entertainment in the main season, and there is a play area and a laundry. Holiday lets run from 31 March to 31 October.

Aberaeron

Aberaeron is not an old fishing village that grew. It was laid out deliberately in the early 1800s around a new harbour, which is why the streets are straight and the houses match. The painted terraces round the harbour are the thing people photograph.

There is honey ice cream on the quay, a Georgian square inland, and boats still working out of the harbour. The National Wool Museum is 17 miles away and Lampeter, with its university, is 14.
