A 16th-Century Manor with a Pool near Cowbridge

Llwynhelig House is a beautifully restored 16th-century manor on the edge of Cowbridge, in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. One of the most distinctive luxury holiday homes near Cowbridge, it blends timeless period character with real comfort, sleeping up to twelve guests across six elegant bedrooms. With spacious sitting rooms, two wood burners, a stunning country kitchen and a large heated outdoor pool, it is a wonderful base for a family gathering, a celebration or a relaxed group getaway in this lovely corner of South Wales.

Grand, Characterful Living Spaces

This is a house with real presence. The elegant dining room, with its crackling wood burner and inglenook fireplace, sets the scene for memorable meals, while the adjoining breakfast room leads through to a character-rich kitchen fitted with a range cooker, American-style fridge freezer, coffee machine and a double air fryer. There are two beautifully furnished sitting rooms — one with a baby grand piano and chandelier, another with leather chesterfields and a wood burner — plus a separate study and a downstairs cloakroom. Smart TVs, Wi-Fi throughout and a thoughtful welcome pack are all included, along with electricity, bed linen, towels and the fuel for the wood burners.

Six Elegant Bedrooms

The six bedrooms are full of country-house charm. A super-king master sits on the ground floor with its own walk-in wardrobe and deluxe en-suite, and there are two further en-suite bedrooms upstairs, with the remaining three rooms sharing two luxurious bathrooms. The ground-floor master makes the house a little more accessible for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. With room for twelve, there is plenty of space to relax together or find a quiet corner of your own.

A Heated Outdoor Pool and Gardens

Outside, guests have access to a large heated outdoor swimming pool (open daily from May to October, shared with other properties on the estate, with shower and changing facilities). There is a private patio with garden views and elegant outdoor furniture, set within beautiful grounds, plus private parking for three cars. Please note the house is no-smoking and, as a period property, is not suitable for pets.
