In the middle of the peninsula
Llanrhidian Holiday Park sits on the north side of the Gower above the salt marsh, which puts both coasts within easy reach — Rhossili and the western beaches one way, Oxwich and Port Eynon the other. Swansea is about half an hour back up the road when you want a city.
Caravans and lodges
The park has modern caravans and luxury lodges, with two, three or four bedrooms and space for up to eight people. Several of the lodges have their own hot tub. They are laid out with private decking and open-plan living areas, so you get somewhere to sit outside as well as in.
On the park
There is an outdoor heated swimming pool, open from Easter through to October, and the Purple Badger bar and restaurant for evenings you would rather not cook. For families there is an outdoor play area, indoor soft play over three storeys, a five-a-side football pitch, and open ground to run about on.
Around it
Llanrhidian sits above the marsh where Gower salt marsh lamb is raised — the first product in the country to be given the new UK protected origin mark, in August 2021. Weobley Castle, a small fortified manor house, stands a little further west along the same shore and is reached through the working farm that raises the lamb.
