A Lively Family Holiday Park beside Tenby

Kiln Park is a large, action-packed family holiday park on the edge of beautiful Tenby in south Pembrokeshire, offering lodges and caravans within easy reach of the town and a Blue Flag beach. Part of the Haven family of parks and an AA five-star holiday park, it combines a huge range of on-site activities with a brilliant location, so there is plenty to keep all ages entertained without ever having to stray far. Historic Tenby is, as Haven puts it, “round the corner”.

The accommodation

The park offers a choice of comfortable caravans and more luxurious lodges, so you can pick the level of space and comfort that suits your family and budget. Whether you want a simple, fun base for a beach holiday or a smarter lodge for a bit of extra indulgence, the park caters for both. With the beach a short walk away and the activities on your doorstep, it is an easy, all-in-one sort of holiday — particularly good for families with children of different ages.

Facilities and activities

This is where Kiln Park really comes into its own. There is an indoor heated pool with a water slide and a mini SplashZone, plus a seasonal outdoor heated pool with its own slide (open in the summer months). Land activities include bungee trampolines, crazy golf, archery, a climbing wall, NERF training, kart hire, a tennis court and a sports field. For food and entertainment there is the Marina Bar and stage with live shows, a FunWorks amusements arcade, and a wide choice of dining from a restaurant to Burger King, Papa John’s, fish and chips, Costa Coffee and ice cream. It really is a holiday in itself.

Tenby by the sea

Tenby is one of the most beautiful seaside towns in Wales — a medieval walled town of narrow streets and brightly painted houses wrapped around a pretty harbour, with three sandy beaches and a wealth of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. From the park you can walk into town or down to the beach, browse the harbour, or catch a boat across to the monastic island of Caldey. For more on the area and other places to stay, see our guide to Tenby accommodation.

Exploring Pembrokeshire

Beyond Tenby, the wider Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is a paradise of beaches and clifftop walks. The harbour village of Saundersfoot is just up the coast, the National Trust beaches at Barafundle and Lydstep are among the finest in Britain, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path links them all. Family attractions such as Folly Farm and Heatherton are within easy reach for a day out, making Kiln Park an ideal launch pad for a packed family holiday.
