A Large Coastal House for Fourteen in Tywyn
Jack’s House is a beautifully furnished, large Victorian house in the seaside town of Tywyn, on the Cardigan Bay coast at the southern edge of Snowdonia (Eryri). Sleeping up to fourteen across seven bedrooms, full of period character and dog-friendly, it is a fantastic choice for a big family holiday or a get-together with friends. The town centre, the shops and the long sandy beach are all within easy walking distance, and there is even a top-floor games room for rainy-day fun — making it an easy, sociable base by the sea.
Stylish, Spacious Living
Arranged over several floors, the house has been thoughtfully restored, blending Victorian features such as ornate fireplaces, cornicing and bay windows with fresh, contemporary décor. There are two living rooms for the group to spread out, both with a television, and a smart kitchen fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, an American-style fridge freezer, a coffee machine, a microwave and a dishwasher, with a dining table looking out towards the hills. A separate utility area has a washing machine. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, and a travel cot and highchair are available for little ones.
Seven Comfortable Bedrooms
The seven bedrooms are spread across the floors and offer a flexible mix of super-king, king, double, twin and single beds, so the layout suits families and groups of all kinds. Three of the bedrooms have their own en-suites, and there is a further family bathroom with a slipper bath and a shower room, all finished to a high standard with walk-in showers and heated towel rails. Many of the rooms enjoy lovely light and countryside or sea views.
Games Room and Garden
A real highlight is the top-floor games room, with a pool table, table tennis, a smart TV and sofa beds — a brilliant space for children and teenagers. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with a patio, a gas barbecue and garden furniture, perfect for warmer evenings. There is on-site parking, the house is no-smoking throughout, and up to two dogs are welcome (charges apply). Please note the owners welcome family and group bookings only (no stag or hen parties).
