A 5-Star Cottage with a Hot Tub near Crickhowell
Honeycott is a beautifully restored 5-star holiday cottage in the village of Llangattock, just across the River Usk from the historic town of Crickhowell in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, and welcoming up to three dogs, it is a wonderful choice for a family or group holiday — with a private hot tub, both indoor and outdoor games rooms, a woodburner and lovely mountain views all around. Whether you want to walk the peaks by day and relax in the bubbles by night, this is a memorable base in one of the loveliest corners of South Wales.
The Cottage
Finished to a high standard throughout, Honeycott has a welcoming open-plan living and dining room with a handsome stone fireplace and woodburner, a 50-inch Smart TV, a karaoke machine and even a full-sized pool table. The smart kitchen is fitted in soft sage green, with a Rangemaster range cooker (electric oven and gas hob), a combination microwave oven, a fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, and a breakfast bar; there is a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a ground-floor cloakroom. Gas central heating, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and the initial logs for the woodburner are all included, and a cot and highchair are available for little ones.
The Bedrooms
Upstairs are three lovingly furnished bedrooms sleeping six. Bedroom one has a kingsize bed and its own en-suite shower room; bedroom two has a further kingsize bed; and bedroom three is a twin. A family bathroom serves the rest of the house, complete with a roll-top bath, a walk-in shower, a heated towel rail and elegant patterned tiling. Several rooms enjoy views out over the surrounding hills.
Hot Tub, Games and Garden
Outside is where Honeycott really comes into its own. The enclosed, porcelain-tiled garden has a private hot tub for six with a glass surround, garden furniture, a barbecue and even a pizza oven — perfect for long summer evenings. Adjacent to the garden, a converted garage serves as an external games room with a snooker/pool table, table football, a dartboard and two arcade machines, so there is plenty to keep all ages entertained whatever the weather. There is also a handy bike store, and private parking for two cars with additional on-road parking.
