Nefyn sits above its own bay, with the long curve of Porthdinllaen a mile west. This is the working middle of the town rather than a seafront position, which is why the bars matter: the place is used by people who live here, not only by people passing through.

Nefyn and the Llŷn

Porthdinllaen is the walk to do from here: a row of houses on a beach round the headland, reached on foot across the golf course, with the Tŷ Coch Inn at the end of it standing on the sand. Nefyn’s own beach is below the town. Aberdaron and the tip of the peninsula are half an hour west, and Pwllheli is fifteen minutes east.
