Space to Relax and Have Fun

There is generous living space for a large group. A welcoming sitting room and a second lounge each have a woodburner, while a further garden room opens out to the grounds. Best of all, there is a dedicated cinema room with a projector and big screen, and a games room with a pool table — brilliant for rainy afternoons and evenings together. The kitchen and dining room is well equipped with an electric range, gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and there is a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Oil central heating (with underfloor heating in the kitchen and three bedrooms), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with initial fuel for the woodburners.

Seven Comfortable Bedrooms

The seven bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floors and offer a flexible mix of double, twin and single beds — including a room with four single beds that is ideal for children. Four of the bedrooms have their own en-suites, and there are further family bathrooms, giving five bathrooms in total. The rooms are bright and comfortable, several tucked characterfully into the eaves.

Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna and Grounds

Outside is where Celyn really comes into its own. An outdoor heated swimming pool (12.5m, open April to October) is a wonderful treat on warmer days, while a private hot tub for seven and a sauna mean there is somewhere to unwind all year round. There is an enclosed garden with a patio and garden furniture, a bike store and ample parking. The house is no-smoking throughout. Please note there is a pond in the garden, so families with young children should take care.

The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway, the Montgomery Canal and the tranquil Lake Vyrnwy are all within easy reach, with shops, pubs and restaurants a little over a mile away.

Exploring Further Afield

There is plenty more to discover. Historic Shrewsbury is around half an hour away, there are vineyards and ice-cream makers nearby, and activities such as quad biking, paintballing and horse riding can all be arranged locally. The west Wales coast is roughly an hour’s drive.
