Things to do nearby

Y Ffôr sits in the rolling green interior of the Llŷn, with the dramatic peaks of Yr Eifl — “the Rivals” — rising to the north, crowned by the remarkable Iron Age hillfort of Tre’r Ceiri. It is wonderful walking and cycling country, with the Wales Coast Path and a string of beaches only a short drive away. Pwllheli, the lively “capital” of the Llŷn, has its harbour and marina, a Wednesday market and plenty of shops and cafés, while the pretty castle town of Criccieth — with its clifftop ruin and famous Cadwalader’s ice cream — is just five miles off. The beaches and sailing waters at Abersoch and the gallery and sands at Llanbedrog complete a brilliant base.

Good to know

Quiet, scenic and central to everything, Bwthyn Y Felin is an ideal touring base.
