Parcllwyd

This detached self-catering cottage is set in the rural countryside of Pembrokeshire on the outskirts of the village of Cilgerran, which is just outside of Cardigan. The cottage is south facing and boasts beautiful views of the valley.

There are three bedrooms one double and one twin and one single. We also have baby/toddler facilities including travel cot, high chair, etc. The double has a TV with free view, and the twin room has room for an extra put-me-up bed if required. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and hand basin. In the living room, there is the option of the open fire or electric fire, the lounge also has a digital TV with free view, DVD/VCR players. The dining room leads into the kitchen, which is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, washer/dryer, fridge, and freezer. The cottage has full central heating and is fully double-glazed. Duvets, bed linen, towels, gas and electric and a starter kit for the open fire are provided at no extra cost. There is private parking for up to two cars. Pets are welcome there is no charge for up to 3 dogs, any more would be at the owner's discretion
Parcllwyd has a large garden, which also has an enclosed courtyard outside the back door. There is a patio area where garden furniture is positioned and where BBQ can be lit if required.
Parcllwyd is approx 5 miles from Cardigan, 17 miles to the busy town of Haverfordwest, 50 miles from Tenby and 20 miles from Fishguard where you can sail to Ireland for a day trip. The nearest beaches are Poppit Sands and Newquay, where often dolphins can be spotted.
There is fantastic walking/riding country, including open moorland and quiet country lanes. We are within easy reach of the wild expanses of the Preseli Hills as well as the national park footpaths, one of which runs opposite the cottage and goes through to Boncath. On the other side of the village, there is a wildlife park, which is very popular with visitors as well as Cilgerran castle.
There are many visitor attractions in Pembrokeshire from beautiful beaches, historic castles, Oakwood Leisure Park, Folly Farm to Pembertons Chocolate Factory. There are many varied activities within easy reach of the cottage including boat trips, fishing, golfing, bird watching, woodland walks, local crafts and many more.
We also have available Parcllwyd Holiday Caravan, which is situated in its own plot on the opposite side of the lane from the cottage. The caravan has its own private garden, parking, and facilities and also allows pets and sleeps up to 6. The caravan is also south facing and has fantastic views across the valley.
We offer holidays all year round in both properties and do short breaks in the cottage throughout the autumn/winter months. The cottage and caravan are both done to a high standard and offer home from home facilities.
A welcome tray of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk and a bottle of complimentary wine can be found on arrival as well as fresh flowers.
