Pembrokeshire A Treasure Trove of Things to See and Do

Pembrokeshire is the westernmost county in South Wales, and tourists flock here to discover why so many Hollywood film producers are selecting this exquisite area as a setting for their different films. Not only that, holidaymakers who want to make hiking and the outdoors a top priority can't stop bragging about the awesome Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which has been voted as one of the top 10 walks in the World, and with good reason. On this 186 mile coastal walk, you are promised every kind of landscape and magnificent views. Pembrokeshire Coast B&Bs like Segrwyd are in high demand all year round to cope with tourists who want to take advantage of the sheer beauty of this area and all it offers.

Tired from walking, visitors will find the village of Trefin as well as the Catherdral City of St David's which is just 15 minutes away a treasure trove of memorabilia. Trefin, famous for its old mill, Melin Trefin, is a beautiful historical village right in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and a bed and breakfast in Trefin offers all the convenience and comfort in a most tranquil and restorative setting. It is well positioned to enjoy all the benefits of a tiny and peaceful getaway while being close enough to reach the city of St David's where you can participate in all the coastal activities you can dream of.

Swim in the Sea or Enjoy a Relaxed Meal

Visitors to St David will be able to enjoy the Cathedral with its 'thirty nine steps'. Try and schedule your visit to coincide with the wonderful organ festival which is held at the end of the May. The Cathedral Close has got some fascinating and well maintained gardens and buildings. There are also plenty of fabulous shopping opportunities in St Davids; and you will be able to pick up anything from trendy jewellery and handbags, to cookware, surfing and sport equipment, shoes and much more. There are heaps of opportunities to take a break too from shopping where you can enjoy decadent teas, fish and chip bistros, freshly made sandwiches and baguettes, or bar menus.

Other great attractions to see while staying at Segrwyd b&b are Whitesands Beach, a picture-postcard beach known for its great water sport opportunities. Solva is an exquisite little village with four pubs and a harbour and spectacular views from a cliff known as The Gribin. There are fantastic boat trips to Ramsey Island which is well known for its colonies of birds. St Davids Lifeboat Station at St Justinian is well worth a visit to find out about the bravery of lifeboat men who risked their lives to save people from the perils of the sea. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg of all there is to see and do in this area, which is fast becoming one of the world's top tourist destinations.
