The Old School

Escape to this wonderful, wild and rugged corner of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We are in the centre of Trefin, an attractive village with a pub and a cafe, just a quarter of a mile from the world famous coast path and only 15 minutes by car from the cathedral city of St. David's and the popular family and surfers beach at Whitesands Bay.
Stunning wild beaches and small harbour villages can be visited in a few minutes by car or as part of a day's circular walk.
We offer a whole new concept in low cost accommodation: amazing value B&B in our quality 4 star hostel where we also offer self catering accommodation. We've are featured in April 2014's Coast magazine and also the 'Rough Guide to the Best Budget Places to Stay in the UK', popular travel book '52 Weekends by the Sea' and had a feature in the Sunday Times travel section.
We offer a discount for stays of 3 nights or more. Including this our prices start at only 16 for double or twin occupancy per person including a light (self catering) breakfast. Single occupancy rooms are from 22 Bed and Breakfast. We offer the option of a packed lunch too. Perfect for setting you up for a day's walk on the coast path.
We also offer relaxing double accommodation in our self contained studio room. This consists of one main room with a double bed, kitchenette, sitting area plus an en-suite shower and loo available from only £25 per person per night. It's called 'Ty Popty' (The Bake House) and is where the school dinners used to be cooked.
We pride ourselves on being one of the greenest places to stay in Wales. Our electricity is sourced from 'Ecotricity' a renewable energy supplier, and we've recently installed a solar hot water system for all the showers. (All our rooms have an en-suite shower by the way).
All a bit too good to be true?! Well, as our prices reflect, we're not The Ritz but we're having fun trying hard to make our place one of the most special places to stay on a budget anywhere. Book in for a night or three and find out if we're succeeding with our ambitions! You'll be most welcome.
