Cartef is beautifully refurbished Georgian House which retains many original features. It is in a splendid location within the medieval town walls of spectacular Caernarfon Castle, and is less than 500 yards from the banks of the picturesque Menai Straight opposite the the Isle of Anglesey Ynys Mon. The sunsets here are breathtaking and there is a fine hostelry where you can sit outside, relax and watch the sun go down. Cartref Guesthouse is also within easy access of the National Park of Snowdonia with its amazing mountainoues countryside and and its many exciting activities and places of interest.
Mary and Roger, the owners like the Slow movement started in Italy, which is trying to preserve everything that is good about a relaxed life, good food, community and hospitality and they endeavour to emulate this at Cartref.

Carlo Petrini - Founder of the Slow Movement
