How much do holiday cottages in Conwy cost?

Prices for the nine we list start at £80 a night, most between £80 and £130. Conwy is a small walled town with a limited number of properties, so the ones inside the walls go first and July and August are the dearest weeks. Every listing shows its own guide price.

Are there cottages actually inside the town walls?

Yes. A number stand inside the walls themselves, near the castle and the quay, and others are just outside or out along the Conwy valley, which is quieter and greener. Being inside is worth paying for if you want to leave the car all week, because everything is then a few minutes on foot. The listing says where each one stands.

Are they let by the week or by the night?

Both. In high summer most owners hold to full weeks, Saturday to Saturday, and will not split them. Spring and autumn open up, with three- and four-night breaks common and far better value than a July week. The minimum stay is on each listing.

Where do we park, and will a campervan fit through the walls?

Check the listing first, because parking inside the walls is limited and not every property has a space. Morfa Bach is the main public car park at 217 spaces, with Vicarage Gardens at 98 and free spaces at Mill Hill in Gyffin. In anything tall, mind the archways: the lowest, at Lower Gate Street, is only 2.20m high.

Can we bring the dog?

Yes at most of them. Dogs are never allowed on the town walls. The Conwy county beach limits run 1 May to 30 September, and two stretches are closed all year: Colwyn Bay between the pier and Porth Eirias, and Rhos Point. None of those beaches has lifeguards, so treat the sea as unsupervised.
