Yr Hen Stablau
Set in the luxuriant gardens of Pantlludw near Machynlleth, Powys you will find this beautifully converted holiday cottage offering guests a relaxing and comfortable self-catering accommodation in wonderfully secluded settings. 3 bedrooms, 1 with wheelchair access.
Yr Hen Stablau (Welsh for Old Stables) is a 1840s stable lovingly converted into a relaxing and comfortable holiday cottage in the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park, overlooking the Dyfi Valley and close to the market town of Machynlleth. The aim of the conversion was to conserve a beautiful old farm building and create an environmentally friendly building.
The cottage is set in the beautiful gardens of Pantlludw between a mountain stream and banks of rhododendron and azalea.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms which sleep six, including one double or twin room with wheelchair access. A cot is also available.
The wonderfully secluded setting makes Yr Hen Stablau ideal if you want to relax, paint, read or write.
It is also a great base for a more active holiday. This area of Snowdonia offers easy access to climbing, walks, sandy beaches, golf, bird watching, narrow gauge railways, art galleries, and shops.
On the ground floor, guests will find a charming sitting room with French windows leading to a slate terrace with woodland views. The spacious kitchen/dining room has modern fittings, high ceiling and original beams, attached pantry and farmland view. The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible with a downstairs bedroom (either king size double or twin beds), shower room/WC with heated towel rail, hall, lobby, and underfloor heating. A mobile hoist is available at no extra charge.
The first floor has a landing, two twin bedrooms with original beams and a WC with heated towel rail.
