Maesmawr Hall Hotel - Caersws
As soon as you turn into the extensive driveway and glimpse the half-timbered house that is Maesmawr Hall Hotel you know youve arrived somewhere special. The luxury hotel has a rich history with original features throughout the main house including the elegant restaurant, cosy bar and panelled meeting room.
Situate amongst the glorious Powys countryside, five miles from Newtown, it's the perfect base from which to explore mid Wales and its many attractions; while the striking coastline of Cardigan Bay is a mere 50 minutes away. Larger towns such as Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury, and Chester are also within easy reach.
Guests will also appreciate the hotels modern facilities such as wifi access in the main house and large function room. Of course no stay is complete without a peaceful night's sleep and after your meetings or sightseeing you can unwind in one of our seventeen individually styled en-suite bedrooms, many which look out over the gardens and astounding countryside beyond.
Maesmawr Hall Hotels has 18 individual bedrooms which offers guests varying styles from the traditional house dating back to 1535 where the rooms have original beams and uneven floors to the later Victorian wing with offers much larger brighter and lighter rooms.
Rooms in the main house offer all that is expected of our 3 star grading, flat screen digital television a range of KINU toiletries and wifi access. Luxury mattresses, fresh crisp bed linen, fluffy towels all laundered in-house to ensure ever guest high standards are maintained and complimentary locally produced still and sparkling water.
Inside the grounds of the hotel we have our Coach House rooms which are currently smaller in size compared to the main hotel and as yet do not offer wireless internet. However, this is due very soon and this is reflected in the room tariff.
The on-going refurbishment should see all of our rooms upgraded within the next two years as we endeavour to achieve 4star grading and our smaller Coach House rooms increased to double the present size.
Before dining in the restaurant why not take the opportunity to relax while perusing the menu and enjoying a pre-dinner drink in our relaxing lounge bar with open log fire, or our furnished terrace and lawns during the warmer summer months.
The Garden Restaurant offers friendly dining and as the name suggests has superb views of our grounds and the surrounding countryside through the large Victorian bay Window.
Capturing the feel of long ago with crisp linen table cloths and original features of the house the restaurant is complemented with touches of a more modern feel from the vibrant colour of our napkins to the fine crystal glassware on our tables.
Whether you join us for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner we have Menus to cater for all tastes, from a light bar snack through to a full three or four course dinner. Our Chefs alter the menu on a regular basis and source many of the fresh produce from local suppliers.
All the above is complimented by our wine list which boasts a choice of 40 whites, reds, rose, champagne and dessert wines.
Our professional, hospitable restaurant staff look forward to welcoming you and please feel free, if there is something you would like and we can oblige, please ask.
