A hot tub cottage gives you the freedom of your own kitchen and front door, plus a private tub to unwind in at the end of the day. They range from compact boltholes for two to big farmhouses that sleep the whole family, in every corner of Wales — coast, countryside and mountains.
In most cases the hot tub is private to your cottage — on a patio, deck or in an enclosed garden — rather than shared. Inside you'll usually find a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living space and, in many, a wood burner for the cooler months.
There are hot tub cottages the length of Wales: along the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coasts, on the Llŷn Peninsula and Anglesey, through Mid Wales and the Brecon Beacons, in the Wye Valley and on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia).
Plenty are dog-friendly, so the whole household can come along, and larger farmhouses suit family gatherings and groups of friends. Look for an enclosed garden if you are travelling with a dog or young children.
