Tenby Blues Festival 2026

The Tenby Blues Festival takes place over the weekend of 13 to 15 November 2026, bringing around 50 blues acts to more than 20 venues across the town. An award-winning community event that has run for well over a decade, the festival is distinctive for being largely free to attend — most of the performances take place in pubs, hotels and public spaces throughout Tenby, creating a lively weekend atmosphere in the town as musicians and blues fans descend on this corner of the Pembrokeshire coast.

The programme covers blues in all its forms — from traditional Delta blues and Chicago soul through to British blues rock and contemporary artists drawing on the tradition. Late-night sessions on the Friday and Saturday are hosted at the Giltar Hotel, overseen by the ‘Queen of Welsh Blues’. Across the weekend, performances run from early afternoon into the early hours, with music spilling out of venues across the town. The friendly, non-corporate atmosphere is a key part of the festival’s appeal.

Tenby is one of the most distinctive small towns in Wales — a medieval walled town set on a headland above wide sandy beaches, with a working harbour sheltered by Caldey Island. In November the town is quiet and the coastal light is remarkable. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park surrounds the town on the landward side, and the coastal path offers rewarding walking in all weathers.

November is a good time to find accommodation in Tenby at reasonable prices — guesthouses and B&Bs in the town are the most atmospheric options, putting you within walking distance of all the festival venues. Saundersfoot, three miles to the north, and Narberth a short drive inland also offer comfortable bases for a blues weekend in Pembrokeshire.
