Cardiff Food and Drink Festival 2026
The Cardiff Food and Drink Festival returns to Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay from 3 to 5 July 2026. One of Wales’s biggest outdoor food events, it brings together local producers, street food traders, chefs, and restaurants for a free-entry weekend of eating, drinking, and live entertainment.
Over three days, visitors can browse hundreds of stalls, sample dishes from across Wales and further afield, watch live chef demonstrations, and explore the craft beer and artisan drinks market. The festival site at Roald Dahl Plass — the striking waterfront plaza in Cardiff Bay — provides a dramatic backdrop, with views across the bay and the Wales Millennium Centre.
The event is family-friendly and free to enter, though individual food and drink stalls charge their own prices. Evening sessions on Friday and Saturday typically feature live music and extend the atmosphere well into the night. Traders range from established Welsh food brands to independent producers showcasing artisan cheese, charcuterie, Welsh lamb and beef, smoked fish, and locally brewed ales and spirits.
Cardiff Bay is well served by public transport, with frequent bus links from Cardiff city centre and a rail service to Cardiff Bay station. Accommodation is available throughout the city, with the bay area itself offering several hotels within easy walking distance of Roald Dahl Plass.
