This wonderful Aberystwyth holiday home accommodation is set in an ideal location, Bryncarnedd Holiday Cottages enjoy the best of both worlds being within walking distance of the local shops yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town life to provide a relaxing and peaceful setting for your holiday.
Bryncarnedd, once an important dairy farm in the area providing milk to Aberystwyth and the local area has since enjoyed a new lease of life having been sympathetically converted into luxury self-catering cottages.
The land is now being farmed under Tir Gofal a pioneering Welsh agri-environmental scheme, which encourages sustainable farming, in a way that cares for the wildlife, historical and cultural features on the land.
Each cottage has been named after a traditional farm building and has been designed with care and attention to detail, providing you with all the luxurious fittings you'd expect in a top hotel, but with the privacy and flexibility of a fully equipped self-catering facility. Each bedroom in the cottages has its own private bathroom some with Jacuzzi baths, some with modern shower rooms providing an ideal solution for our disabled guests. The cottages all have an open plan layout which enables you to cook, eat and live in a bright, airy environment, making the most of your valuable time together.
Each cottage has its own reserved parking space and additional spaces are provided in the communal car park. Also available for guests use is a safe, secure children's play area and clothes washing machine and dryer. There is also a barbeque available for you to use, just ask!
The kitchens are all fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher and fridge freezer, electric cooker and microwave and have all the cooking and dining equipment you'd expect.
If it's not warm enough to sit outside we have indoor entertainment taken care of with a large plasma screen free view TV, DVD player, radio and mp3 dock, we can also provide a CD player on request.
The closest town is Aberystwyth, which is a 15-20 minute walk from the cottages, although there are regular buses from the top of the lane for those wanting to take it easy! The town itself is a vibrant mix of old and new.
The castle, now in ruins, dominates the seafront. Though Aberystwyth Castle was built in 1277, the area has hosted other castles before it, the earliest settlers were iron ago who built a fortress, which can still be seen in Pen Dinas overlooking the south beach. The town has since become an academic and cultural center with the University and the National Library of Wales an important resource library for those interested in genealogy and tracing family history.
There are many other interesting towns and villages within a short drive, and Aberystwyth is served by a mainline railway linking us to the North and East. Every effort has been made to provide you with a comfortable, contemporary base as you explore all Ceredigion has to offer.
